On the binding leaf, a signed self-dedication: "This siddur was used by the Tosher Rebbe for ten years or more and I have received it as a gift from him. This siddur should be a means of protection, blessing and great success and spiritual and material deliverance. Chaim Yechezkel Godinger".

The Tosher Rebbe, Rabbi Meshulam Feish Segal Lőwy (1922-2015), was the son of Rabbi Mordechai of Demecser, grandson of Rabbi Meshulam Feish Lőwy of Tosh (the first). He lost most of his family members, including his father the Rebbe, during the Holocaust. After the Holocaust, he was invited by the remnants of the Tosh Hassidim to come and serve as their Rebbe in Nyíregyháza. Two years later, he left Hungary and arrived in Montreal, Canada in 1951, and in 1963 he established the Beit Ha'Levi enclave of Tosh Hassidism. He was known for his long prayers and devout conduct as well as for his uncompromising zealousness regarding public matters. Thousands of Hassidim flocked to spend the Sabbath in his presence, among them some of the leading Hassidic figures in the US and Canada. Some of his Torah thoughts were printed in the series of the "Avodat Avodah" books.
16.5 cm.
Condition: Good-Fair. Used leather binding. Wear due to use, stains and tears (especially to the last leaves of the Book of Psalms and the leaves of Keriat Shema and Tefilat Amidah).
