State Nickel Medallion, Maccabi Tel Aviv Israel's national football champion 1995.
On the occasion of the impressive appearance of the popular soccer team "Maccabi Tel Aviv" in the 1995 league games, culminating in winning the championship, a special medal was issued.
The Jewish sports organization "Maccabee" ("Maccabi"), whose name is derived from the verse "Who is like a lamb in the gods of the Lord" (Exodus 15:11), was founded in the Sports Club for Youth, founded in Istanbul in 1894. In 1906, In the Land of Israel under the name "Rishon Lezion Jaffa" which later became the name of Maccabi Tel Aviv.
The Maccabi Tel Aviv Club has been participating in the Israeli Cup and League Cup matches since the beginning of the 1920s and has won the top two titles: 17 championships, 18 Cup Winners and 6 Double Cup Winners. 1969 and 1971 in Bangkok.
