Long Handwritten Letter from Rabbi Yisroel Alter of Gur – "Beis Yisroel". 1960 Jerusalem
A long interesting letter [25 lines], handwritten and signed by Rabbi Yisroel Alter, famously known as the "Beis Yisroel" of Gur. The letter is addressed to Rabbi Avraham Binyamin Silberberg [Pittsburgher Rav]. In his letter the Beis Yisroel encourages Rabbi Silberberg to continue publishing his works and advises him in regards of surgery for the Rabbis daughter: "It would be right to verify that there is no risk involved"…
