A Letter handwritten by Yehoshua Suprasky, One of the First Zionists and a Delegate of the First Zionist Congress! - From the 19th Zionist Congress - 1935
The letter was written approximately three weeks before the 19th Congress of 1935 to Mr. Lowenstein and in it, Suprasky describes the division of mandates between the various Zionist movements and expresses his sorrow that the division is unjust, as a member of the executive committee and he gives up the mandate given to him by the Zionist Federation and transfers his right to another member.
"I think this Congress will most likely be the last within the Zionist Federation, which I stood beside its cradle and took part in even before the first congress".
It is extremely rare to find manuscripts by delegates of the first congress.
Yehoshua Suprasky (1879-1948) was one of the first general Zionists in Russia and after immigrating to the Land of Israel in 1920, also in the Land of Israel. He was one of the opponents of the Uganda Scheme. Served as the chairman of the committee of the Jewish community of Tel Aviv-Jaffa. The "Neveh Yohoshua" neighborhood in Ramat Gan was named after him.
Condition: Good. A few tears and gluing.
