The Jewish Relief Committee for the Jews of Russia in Jerusalem, the entire concert was dedicated to the help of the Jews of Russia.
Unfortunately, the concert did not take place, Rabbi Yossele Rosenblatt died two days earlier on Monday, 25th of Sivan.

Rabbi Yosef (Yossele) Rosenblatt (1882-1983) was a cantor and composer who was considered one of the greatest cantors of all time. Left behind a considerable legacy of Jewish liturgical music, which contributed greatly to shaping the world of cantorial music. Composed and edited more than 600 works, most of them prayers and some Jewish folk songs. Many of his works are considered classics of the world of cantors.
