"An archive of a soldier in the Jewish Brigade, including 275 letters which he sent to his family between 1941-1946 from Palestine, Egypt, Italy, France, Holland and Belgium; 230 photos from his Jewish Brigade service and a few dozen earlier ones. A belgian Yellow Badge and a cloth Brigade badge. Also a few documents, pamphlets and certificates from his time of service. 
Good condition. The albums' condition is fair to poor, many of the photos fell out. The photos are in various sizes, in very good condition, some of them have place and date on back. 

Addition: The soldier was part of the second infantry battalion of the Palestine regiment, which was made part of the Jewish Brigade when it was formed in 1944. The battalion was stationed in Palestine and later Lybia, and upon the formation of the Jewish Brigade was moved to Italy, took part in the actual fighting against the Nazis in March 1945, and after the surrender of the Nazis was moved to Tarvisio where the soldiers first met the Holocaust survivors. In July 1945 it was transferred to Belgium and Holland, and returned to Palestine in May 1946.
The letters describe among other things the visits of Moshe Sharet and Hanna Rovina, fighting the Germans , meeting refugees in Italy, the end of the war, meeting Holocaust survoivors in Holland, and the demonstration of the Brigade soldiers against Bevin and British policy towards the Jews in Palestine.
