Archive of the Sha'arayim neighborhood settlement - Workers' neighborhood of Yemenite immigrants in the south of Rehovot, 1935-1948. Today Sha'arayim is a neighborhood as part of the city of Rehovot. This is the first workers' neighborhood established in 1909 and the largest in Israel. The founders were immigrants from Yemen who did not manage to integrate into Moshav Kinneret because of ethnic and cultural differences. The annexation of the moshav as a neighborhood in the city of Rehovot was officially carried out only in 1944. The archive presented here is a document of great historical importance and tells the story of Moshav Sha'arayim and the absorption of the Yemenite immigrants during the Mandate period between 1935-1948. The archive presented here includes:
1. The first minutes book of the committee's members, from 8.2.1938 to June 1940. The author is full, including 95 minutes signed by the chairman, secretary of the committee and other members, together with the stamp of the moshav. The protocols deal with all the matters of the moshav.
2. The second minutes book of the committee member from 8.1.1939 to 19.6.1939. A complete notebook, containing 82 protocols, signed by the chairman, secretary of the committee and other members, together with the stamp of the moshav. The protocols deal with all the matters of the moshav.
3. The third minutes book of the committee members from June 20, 1939 to June 1940. A full notebook contains 300 protocols.
4. The Fourth minutes book of the Committee member from July 7, 1941 to May 27, 1941, from a complete notebook containing 175 protocols. Detached binding.
The protocols discuss issues of mobilization for the war effort, protection and security, agriculture, education, religious needs - the synagogue, a cemetery, assistance to the needy, the National Federation and the Yemenite Association.

5. Book of expenses of the Committee and members of the Committee circa 1934-1945. Minor moth damages. The book is partially full (tens of pages).
6. Lot of 2 expenses notebooks including collection of taxes from authors in moshav, 1942, in another notebook slightly pages and full pages.
7. The book of those who died in the cemetery, 1948-1954, Robo Rick, only eight full pages.
8. Minutes of the Water Committee minutes from September 1, 1942 until March 22, 1944, 30 minutes, partially complete.
9. Lot of 10 notebooks containing copies of handwritten letters sent to the Rehovot municipality, the police inspector, KKL-JNF, the Chief Rabbinate, the Farmers Union Center, the National Committee for the Israeli Knesset. Hundreds of letters total.
Lot 3 stamps of the moshav committee and the water association.
11. There are about 20 public statements on the public and community issues, mainly Stencil from 1935-45, and a handwritten copy of the communiqués and public announcements in 1935, dozens of announcements.
12. Lot includes a book of friends who bought plots in the cemetery, burial licenses, some 20 cemetery regulations, some signed by the Hevra Kadisha, regulations of the religious organization of Sha'arayim and Marmorek neighborhood, including signatures of the members.
The collection received expert assessment of 3000-5 thousand thousand dollars!
