Timurid Agate Ring
15th-16th century AD
An agate finger ring comprising a keeled D-section hoop with knop to the underside, stepped shoulders, scaphoid bezel. 8.93 grams, 32.28mm overall, 17.59mm internal diameter (approximate size British M 1/2, USA 6 3/4, Europe 13.09, Japan 12) (1 1/4"). Fine condition, minor usage wear.
Provenance
From an important North West London collection; acquired in the late 1980s-early 1990s.
