A carved schist frieze fragment depicting the goddess Durga nimbate and crowned with cup in her raised left hand, trident in her right hand piercing the spine of a prone bull beneath her feet, panelled base; mounted on a custom-made stand. 372 grams, 19cm including stand (7 1/2"). Fair condition.
Provenance
Property of a London gentleman; from his father's collection formed in the late 1980s-early 1990s.
