Islamic Silver Ring with Calligraphic Gemstone
19th-20th century AD
A silver finger ring comprising a D-section hoop with transverse ribs to the scooped shoulders and claw setting, inset carnelian cloison with incised calligraphic text. 10.86 grams, 23.73mm overall, 16.50mm internal diameter (approximate size British K 1/2, USA 5 1/2, Europe 10.58, Japan 10) (1"). Very fine condition.

Property of a West London businessman, formed in the late 1980s-early 1990s.
