A large hollow conical ceramic vessel, intended to be filled with explosive liquid and a wick, and used as a hand grenade; the body decorated with ribbed lines, three raised bosses to the shoulder, tiered neck and base. 565 grams, 15cm (6"). Fine condition. A rare type.

From an important English collection; acquired in the 1990s.
