9th-11th century AD
A mixed iron group comprising: a barrel lock with flange to the rear, facetted panels of lattice ornament, substantial staple above; a latch lifter key with S-curved shank, two bits; a latch lifter key with a rectangular pierced paddle; a latch lifter key with pierced loop finial and openwork discoid flange; three keys with looped shank and angled bits; one with large loop handle, rectangular openwork disc with angled bits; a latch lifter key with looped handle and angled bit; professionally cleaned and conserved. 712 grams total, 7-17cm (2 3/4 - 6 3/4").
