Handwritten letter from Rabbi Nathan Levine, Av Beis Din of Risha, addressed to Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld.
The letter regards a plot of land in Eretz Yisrael which Rabbi Nathan had purchased along with a group.
Rabbi Nathan Levine (1858 - 1926) was a disciple and only son-in-law of Rabbi Yitzchak Schmelkes, Av Beis Din of Lvov and author of Beis Yitzchak. A prominent Galician leader, he did much on behalf of the Jewish community. His home was open to all and he enjoyed influence in the government as well. His sefer of responsa was lost during the Holocaust.
