Rabbi Shmuel Rosenberg was born in 1842 to his father Rabbi Israel Yonah Zvi Rosenberg, Av Beit Din of Tiszafüred. In 1884, Rabbi Shmuel was appointed the Chief Rabbi of Unsdorf and held the position until his death in 1919.
