Long Responsum [4 pp.] Handwritten and Signed by the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Bezalel Panet Av Beit Din of Tasnád – [1841]
Sent to his younger brother Rabbi Menachem Mendel Av Beit Din of Deyzh and the first Rebbe of Deyzh author of 'Ma'agalei Tzeddek'.
The letter is folded like an envelope and on one of its pages, the Gaon wrote his brother's address as well as various other scholarly inscriptions.
Rabbi Chaim Bezalel Panet (1803-1874) was the rabbi of Tasnád and the Transylvania district for forty years. His eldest son was the 'Mareh Yechezkel'. At the age of 12 he started learning with the Chatam Sofer. With the blessing of Rabbi Moshe Teitelbaum, he served as a rabbi already as a youth. Among his books: Derech Yivchar, Yam Hanivchar, Otzar Chaim.
