Antique Very Rare Russian Lithograph of Praying Jew. From series of lithographs "Costumes of Russia" done by artist Lev Alexandrovich Belousov (1806-1864). Dated 1844. Costumes De La Petite Russie. Printed in Lemersier lithograph in Paris. Lev Alexandrovich Belousov (1806-1864) - artist and lithographer, performed lithographs for the most luxurious military publications of the time. The publisher of the album, Giuseppe (Joseph Khristoforovich) Datsiaro (1806-1865), is the owner of Russia's first publishing house of printed graphics, specialized in the publication and sale of lithographs, and kept stores in St. Petersburg, Moscow and Paris. From the beginning of the 1840s he printed his graphics mainly in the Paris printing house of Lemersieux. Size 8.5 x 10.5 in. Size in frame 13.5 x 15.5 in.
