"The poisonous goblet that we endured in our city Brody, in the second month, Iyar, 1835…because even our holy and glorious synagogue was consumed…by Mordechai ben David Strelisker, published by the author to benefit G-d's sanctuary that was consumed." Poignant work that provides a glimpse into this sad episode of the European exile. With poem and rhyme the author describes what happened to the 14 well-constructed homes. First edition, Zolkiew 1835. 8 pages including the title page. Without binding, stains to title page and last page. Overall fine condition.
