Original, Rare Postcard with a Picture of the Kishinev Synagogue from the Era of Rabbi Tsirelson – 1927
Original postcard depicting the façade of the magnificent synagogue in Kishinev, including a view of its yard. The printed text on the back includes the [Hebrew] caption: "This synagogue was built in 1913…during the rabbinate of the great gaon Rabbi Yehuda Leib Tsirelson." Features a list of the members of the building committee and the trustees and assistants that were first chosen. Caption on the bottom: 1913-1927. In other words, this postcard was printed fourteen years after the synagogue was built. Liberal Kishinev Press. 14x9 cm. Small blemishes and stains. Overall fine condition. Not in the ephemera collection of the National Library.
