A GERMAN WWII SS POLICE SWORD BY HERM. RATH
The hilt fittings are all nickel-plated, ebony grip, few small chips next to insignia. Blade is in excellent condition marked by “HERM. RATH / SOLINGEN” and SS runes underneath, indicating to be an earlier example of this maker. Scabbard is straight with some minor dents with most of the original black paint remaining, both scabbard mounts are retained by two screws.
