A RARE CAUCASIAN ISLAMIC ASIATIC TYPE SHASHKA SWORD
A Caucasian shashka of Asiatic type with finely engraved gilt silver and nielloed hilt of characteristic eared type and mounts, slightly curved single-edged blade with two narrow fullers, etched with Arabic inscriptions. Wood scabbard covered with original black leather. Circa second half of the 19th century.
Dimensions: L: 38 in., (98.5 cm.)
Condition: Excellent with leather slightly worn
