Letter from Rabbi Yitzchak Dov Bamberger of Wurzburg, dated 1863, Hebrew and Yiddish-Deutsch, mentioning his mechutan R. Yosef Gavriel Adler.
Torah notes in the distinct minute handwriting of Rabbi Tzvi Binyamin Auerbach written on the back of the letter.

Rabbi Yitzchak Dov Bamberger (1808-1878), disciple of Rabbi Wolf Hamburger of Fuerth and son-in-law of Rabbi zekel Leib Wormser of Fulda. Chief Rabbi of Wurzburg (1840). Leading German rabbinical authority and author of many rabbinical and halachic works.

Rabbi Tzvi Binyamin Auerbach (1808-1872), son of Rabbi Avraham of Bonn and disciple of Rabbi Yehuda Leib Karlburg of Krefeld. Rabbi of Darmstadt (1834) and Halberstadt (1863). An outspoken opponent of the Reform movement in Germany and author of rabbinic works, most well-known of which is his Nachal Eshkol.
