Notes:  "The Frog in the Well" is a Chinese fable that refers to a narrow-minded person who doesn’t see the larger world around them. The story is about a frog who lives happily down in a hole where there was all he had to live. One day, a soft shelled turtle came by and told him about the sea. 'The sea? Hah! It's paradise in here. Nothing can be better than this well. Why don't you come down and share my joy?
The artist carved both creatures as one.
