An Art Collectible Book Guide to Glass Work
Art Collectible Book. The Glass of Lalique a Collector's Guide by Christopher Vane Percy with DJ Crescent Books 1989. Christopher Vane Percy traces the artists entire career both as designer and manufacturer. He also describes Lalique's production techniques relating them to the many hundreds of glass objects for which they were specially devised. There is a comprehensive list of all the 1,562 objects listed in Lalique's massive trade catalogue of 1932 each is identified by a design number some are dated for the first time. There are 33 colour and 139 black and white illustrations. Christopher Vane Percy owns several of the artists most important works. In 1974 he mounted the first comprehensive exhibition of Lalique's glass to be shown anywhere in Europe since 1939.
