Manuscript of 'Yalkut Ephraim' on the Torah by Its Gaon Author Rabbi Ephraim Friedman, a Disciple of the Holy Gaon the Ma'asai LaMelech of Vitzen with Innovations on Suggiyot HaShas by His Rav

Manuscript by the important Gaon Rabbi Ephraim Friedman author of Sefer 'Yalkut Ephraim' on the Torah from the Torah of the Holy Geonim Rabbi Yehuda Assad and Rabbi Shimon Sofer of Krakow, with his own additions. 


The manuscript was written by Rabbi Ephraim Friedman in 1904 when he was studying with the Holy Gaon Rabbi Yeshaya Zilberstein of Vitzen author of 'Ma'asai LaMelech'  and in it he presents many Torah innovations by his Rav on Suggiyot HaShas. 

On one of the leaves, it is written "I have written on Teusday Parashat Chukat 1906 Vitzen". At the beginning of the manuscript, the years 1901-1904 are written. 


The Gaon Rabbi Ephraim Friedman - author of Yalkut Ephraim. One of the rabbis of Temshvar, a leading disciple of the Geonim the 'Neta Sorek' and the Gaon the Vitzener Rov, the Ma'asai  LaMelech. Was one of the renowned rabbis of Transalvania, fiercely fighting Jewish assimilation. He served as the chairman of Agudat Yisrael in Temshvar after the war. Caused many to repent and acted to restore religion in Romania in matters of Kashruth, education, Tahara, immigration and Judaism. After his immigration to Israel, he served as the vice chairman of Agudat Yisrael and  as the chairman of its Bnei Berak branch. 


61 leaves handwritten by him, fine orderly script.  In a bound notebook-binder of leaves. Slightly worn binding. Complete fine leaves. Very good condition.
