The letter was written on Iyar 11th 1923. The Gaon Rabbi Steif agrees upon his arrival to the community, the stations on his journey and his arrival in the city.
The great Gaon Rabbi Yonasan Steif [1887-1948] one of the greatest Poskim in the USA after World War II. In his youth he studied at the "Yeshiva Rama" with Moron the author of "Shevet Sofer" . Served as Dayan of Ungvar and later of Budapest. He was saved from World War II, immigrating to the USA where he taught Torah at the Neitra Yeshiva and the 'Adas Yere'im' Community of former residents of Vienna, Moron the Holy Rabbi of Satmar greatly admired him. Moron the Gaon Rabbi Moshe Feinstein titled him 'Gedol HaDor'.
