Bnei Issachar, with a dedication and handwritten note and signature of the author of Arugat HaBosem
Bnei Issachar printed in Munkatch. With a signed, handwritten dedication and note by the holy Rabbi Moshe Greenwald, head of the Beit Din of Huszt, author of Arugat HaBosem.
The author of Arugat HaBosem was one of the greatest rabbis and poskim of Hungary. His teachings spread beyond that country’s borders and the rabbis and teachers who learned at his yeshiva were well received throughout Hungary.
As a student of the Ktav Sofer, he declared war on those who were destroying Judaism with reforms, and his responsa addressed many issues of reiterating and building fences of halacha and the traditional path of his teachers.
He was respected as a Torah giant from his youth, as is evident from the letter of semicha he received at age 30 from his rabbi, the head of the Tzehlim Beit Din.
