Responsa of Rabbi Moshe ben Rabbi Yosef of Trani.
Rabbi Yosef ben Moshe of Trani was born in Tzfat in 1568. He was the son of Rabbi Moshe of Trani – The Mabit, and one of the greatest Halachic authorities. Rabbi Yosef was one of Tzfat’s Rabbis, and gained renown mainly for his compositions ‘Responsa of the MaHarit’ and novellae on parts of Shas. He served as the Chacham Bashi of Turkey as well as the Shadar of Constantinople.
The owner’s signature appears on the first title page. A few glosses and handwritten connections appear in the book.
