A book of responsa, Torat Emet authored by Rabbi Aharon Sasson.
On the front endpaper page appears an ownership signature in the Netziv of Volozhin’s own handwriting – “Naphtali Tzvi Yehuda Berlin”.

Rabbi Aharon Sasson (Circa 155-1626) served as a Rabbi in Salonika and Constantinople. He authored Shu”t Torat Emet. Rabbi Sasson was referred to as MaHara Sasson and was a student of Salonika’s great sages. He is oft quoted in commentaries on the Shulchan Aruch, including the Taz and the Shach.

116, 119-207 [z”l: 222], [12] leaves (the first seven pages of this copy are missing, including the title page, as well as the final 12 pages). Average condition. Adhesions in a number of places with missing text. Quality paper. New binding.
