This polemic deals with ‘The Get of Kleve’, an outrage that rocked the Rabbinical world in Europe!
This is the only Hebrew book to be printed in the Kleve printing house which was established for the specific purpose of printing this book. A few individual pamphlets were also printed there. However, this is the only complete book printed in this press. All other printing houses in the Ashkenaz region refused to print this book so as not to be seen as taking a stance in this scandal.
In most copies the pages 31-32 were removed as they contained vehement statements against Frankfurt’s sages. This rare copy includes these two pages, with no erasures.
