Chamishah Chumshei Torah With Rare Commentaries. Frankfurt an der Oder, 1783-1784. Rare.
Set of the Five Books of the Torah with rare commentaries on the Torah and Rashi. With 3 translations ‘Tirgumim’ (Onkeles, Yonatan ben Uziel and Yerushalmi), Rashi, Rashbam, the Michlal Yofi commentary by Rabbi Shlomo ben Melech (explanation of words and continuation of topics throughout the books of Tananch, with notes on the punctuation and cantillation marks), Be’er Rechovot on Rashi’s precise understanding. Sefer HaChinuch at the end of each volume.
The title pages include beautiful engravings and illustrations depicting Moses, Aaron and Jacob’s dream with the ladder ascending to heaven with angels alighting and descending.
Printed in 1874. The title page of Sefer HaChinuch says 1873.
