Shtei Yadot. Venice, 1618.

First Edition of Rabbi Menachem de Lonzano (The Ramdal) book.

The book, Shtei Yadot, is comprised of Midrashic explanations of Chazal, prayers, liturgical poems and more. Authored by Rabbi Menachem de Lonzano.

The book includes ten compositions, amalgamated into two ‘hands’: Yad Ani, - the hand of the poor man - comprised of five ‘fingers’. These are the five powerful compositions of Rabbi Menachem. The second hand is Yad HaMelech, the King’s hand. This includes five fingers; five compositions of early Rabbis from the words of Chazal, who preceded Rabbi Menachem.

Many topics are including in this:
‘Ohr Torah’ on the Torah tradition; Midrashim of Chazal, poems, pizmonim, prayers, philosophy, ethics and more.

On the back of the book appears a beautiful ex-libris.
