A Handwritten Manuscript on Various Topics in Halacha, Medicine, Natural Sciences, and Mystical Remedies. Spanish Morocco ca. 1800.

An especially intriguing volume containing approximately 190 pages written on diverse subjects. Pages 14 and 29 bear the signature of the author, R' Meir Azankot, along with the date from the year 1801.

Contents of the manuscript include:
• Arrangements based on the order of Aleph to Bet on various Halachic topics.
• Some content related to engineering.
• Matters of medicine and mystical remedies.
• Health, nature, and a list of fruits arranged alphabetically.

Throughout the manuscript, there are numerous illustrations and drawings, including a full and interesting page featuring a handprint and a talisman. The cities of Gibraltar and Seville are mentioned in several places. The content of the manuscript requires further examination, but it appears not to have been printed.

190 pages (85 leaves). Moderate to good condition. Some torn pages. Stains. Few signs of worming. Antique cardboard binding. Complete handwritten manuscript.

The identity of the author and the full content of the manuscript have not been thoroughly examined. It is possible that this is Rabbi Meir Azankot, a member of the Ibn Hayyim family of scholars in the city of Marrakesh.
