Letter of Recommendation on Behalf of the Yeshiva "Knesset Yisrael" of the Holy "Or Hachaim" in Jerusalem, Signed by his Students. Jerusalem, 1766.
Letter of Recommendation from the Sages of Jerusalem for Rabbi Zvi Halevi to the community of Modena in Italy, in support of the Holy Yeshiva "Knesset Yisrael" founded by the holy Rabbi Chaim ben Attar, of blessed memory.

The Sages of Jerusalem wrote in the letter about the situation of the Yeshiva "Knesset Yisrael, " mentioning that Rabbi Chaim ben Attar passed through their community, and they promised to assist him.

As is known the continued existence of the "Knesset Yisrael" Yeshiva was extremely important to Rabbi Chaim ben Attar, and in his book he wrote that anyone with questions about the book after his passing should turn to his students in the yeshiva he established
.
In the letter, it is written in large letters: "The merit of the mentioned Rabbi (the Holy Or Hachaim) will stand for them."

Rabbi Zvi Halevi ascended to the Land of Israel with the Holy Or Hachaim but had to return to Italy and only later returned to Jerusalem. His name is mentioned in the list of students of the Holy Or Hachaim from the year 1788 (see also: A. Yari, "Shluchei Eretz Yisrael" p. 544).

Signed by the rabbis and sages of Jerusalem, students of the Holy Or Hachaim:
1. Rabbi Shem Tov Gabaai, an outstanding student of the Holy Or Hachaim, who came with him from Morocco to the Land of Israel and studied in his yeshiva in Jerusalem. He signed together with the students of the Holy Or Hachaim in the introduction to their book "Rishon LeTzion."
2. Rabbi Chaim David ben Rabbi Shmuel Amar, one of his great students, and some say he came with him from Livorno to Jerusalem. Author of "Tehila LeDavid."
