One of the fundamental commentaries on the Torah with a unique poem authored by Eliyahu Bachur HaMedakdek.

The commentary of the Ramban includes elucidations according to Pshat as well as hidden wisdom. This is the most comprehensive and fundamental commentary on the Torah after Rashi.
Rabbi Salant, quoting his teacher Rabbi Chaim Volozhin declared: “One who studies Rashi on Chumash without Ramban is akin to one who studies Gemara with Rashi without Tosfot”.

This copy includes numerous unidentified handwritten glosses.

On the verso of the title page, half a page of handwriting, never been checked.

Giustiniani Press:
There were two printing press that operated simultaneously in Venice at this time; Giustiniani and Bragadin. The competition between them reached a peak when they were both working on printing the Rambam. Bragadin Printers claimed that Giustiniani Printers encroached on their business and presented their claim to the Rema who penned a Halachic ruling on this (Shu”t HaRema Ch. 10).

[1], 156, [1] leaves. Moderate condition. Taping on the title page. Old taping on Leaf 2 covers some of the text, obscuring a few lines. Worming holes on tens of leaves. On Leaf 157 light taping on the margins affecting text. Aside from this, most of the book is in good condition. Numerous handwritten glosses. Original, leather binding.
