Shut Edut Biyehosef (section I). Kushta 1711. Single edition.
stamps of the Admor Rabbi Natan David Rabinovich [the second] of Pertziva-Shedlitz.

Sefer Edut Biyehosef. Halachic Shut, section I, by Rabbi Yosef Almosnino. With an approbation by the rabbis of Kushtandina.

On the title page of the book and the last leaf, there is a stamp of the Admor Rabbi Natan David Rabinovich [the second] of Pertziva-Shedlitz.

Rabbi Yosef Almosnino (1637/1642-1688, Otzar Harabbanim 8143): Av Beit Din and Ram of Belgrade during the years 1668-1688. During the war between the Ottoman Empire and the Holy League (1683-1699), the Habsburg Army conquered Belgrade. Rabbi Almosnino and the leaders of the community were sent to jail in Nikolsburg, where he passed away while imprisoned. His writings were looted by the Habsburg soldiers, sold to the Ottomans and brought to Kushta. There, they were purchased by his sons, Yehuda and Simcha Almosnino, and then published in two volumes titled Edut Biyehosef.

Rabbi Almosnino was accused several times of being a Sabbatean and apparently, was in contact with Nathan of Gaza. In his time, the Belgrade community sent two emissaries to Shabtai Zvi and it was documented that he copied and distributed Nathan of Gaza's writings. After Shabtai Zvi's death and backing it with evidence, Rabbi Almosnino permitted his widow, Yocheved, to remarry.

The Admor Rabbi Natan David Rabinovich [the second] of Pertziva-Shedlitz (1866-1930) was the Admor of the Chassidic court in Perchev (Parczew), which was a branch of the Biala Chassidut, fifth generation, a direct descendant of the Yehudi Hakadosh of Peshischa. Was the eldest son of Rachel Levi'ah, the daughter of Rabbi Yehoshua of Ostrova, and Rabbi Yitzchak Yaakov Rabinovich, the founder of the Biala Chassidut. Was named after his grandfather, his father's father, Rabbi Natan David of Shidlovtza. Was a wealthy man who lived in great splendor, following in the royal footsteps of Rabbi Yisrael Friedman of Ruzhin.

By his father's orders, Rabbi David Natan studied Milah and in his lifetime, circumcised thousands of babies. He became an Admor in his father's lifetime, first in Perchev and then in Shedlitz, which in his letters, he used to refer to as Shidlitz so as not to write the Hebrew word Shed (Demon). After his father's passing (in 1905), thousands of Biala Chassidim adhered to him. His son was Rabbi Baruch Yehoshua Yerachmiel Rabinovich (1915-1998), the fourth Admor of Munkatch during the years 1937-1998. After the Holocaust served as the Rav of Sao Paulo, Brazil and since 1963, as the Rav of Cholon. In his old age, lived in Petach Tikvah.
