Sukhum. Publisher: N. D. Gogidzhanova. 1913 [2], 352, [24] p., 19 l. ill. , 1 plan Hard publishing calico binding, Format 14.5 x 22 cm. The cover is loose and dirty, the block is strong, clean, the cards are in place ( on one card there is a small tear ).
Konstantin Davidovich Machavariani (1857-1926?) - educator, local historian and writer. A "desktop" book for researchers of the history of Abkhazia, there is no one who would not refer to this work. The book consists of two parts. The first part describes Sukhum and Abkhazia at that time (the beginning of the twentieth century), and the second part provides an ethnographic and historical overview. As for the history of Abkhazia of the XIX century , it is given by the author according to the circulars and documents (reports and reports) compiled by the Russian military administration, which were used by historians of that time. Photos and advertising are attached. There is a plan of Sukhumi, which is often absent in this edition.
