Nefesh David on the Torah and Michtam Ledavid on the Shas and Poskim, by Rabbi David Tevil Av Beis Din of Lisa. The Press of Chaim Aharon Zupnik and Knoller, Premishla, 1878. 

[4], 36; 12 leaves. 24 cm. 

Rabbi David Tevil ben Rabbi Nosson Note (passed away in 1792) served as Rav in Soslov, Vohlin and as Rav and Rosh Yeshiva in Horochov and Lia. 

Renewed binding, an open tear to the edge of the leaf, not affecting the text (the part that was cut is between the leaves of the book). Aging stains. Good condition. 


* Yaakov Selah, Kabbalistic Drushim on the Torah and Likutim, by Rabbi Yaakov Yoffe. The Press of Avraham Ponterimoli and Yaakov Poly, Izmir, [1880]. With a handwritten dedication by the author. First edition

[1], 131 leaves, 30 cm. On the flyleaf, [2] lines of a dedication handwritten and signed by the author. Approbation by Rabbi Avraham Palachi. 

Rabbi Yaakov Yoffe [Ashkenazi] (passed away in 1881) author of Yaakov BeEzro on Megilas Ester and Shivchei Rashbi in Ladino (Izmir, 1876), Yaakov Yismach (Izmir, 1877) and Yaakov Selah (Izmir, 1880). 

Semi-leather binding, worn and partly detached. Moth holes. Stains, including traces of mold. Tears. Fair condition.

[2], 40; 4-36, [1], VII; 229, X pp. 22 cm. Important approbations including by Rabbi Yitzchak Elchanan of Kovno, the Natziv, Rabbi Shlomo of Vilna, the Ridbaz, Rabbi Shmuel Mohilever and more. With stamps of Rabbi Shaul Chaim Halevi Horowitz Av Beis Din of Dobrovna. 

Rabbi Shaul Chaim Halevi ben Rabbi Avraham Horowitz (1828-1915), Iluy from Vilna, the son-in-law of Rabbi David Tevil of Minsk. Av Beis Din of Dobrovna from 1865 until his immigration to Eretz Yisroel in 1883. Rav of the Meah She'arim neighborhood and one of the founders of the Pri Etz Chaim Yeshiva, Talmud Torah and soup kitchen. Authored books of innovations and sermons. 

Worn, incomplete binding. Loose spine. Moth holes. Folds to the corners of the last leaves. Fair condition.

131; 76 pp. 25 cm. Owner's stamp "Chaim Bromberg, Brisk of Lithuania" and "Yitzchak Weidler Rav of Knarovka, Minsk". 

Rabbi Yitzchal ben Rabbi Nosson Note Weidler (1896-1948) the Rav of Kmarovka, Minsk immigrated from Poland to Eretz Yisroel in 1937. Author of Sefer Hadar Yitzchak (Jerusalem, 1940) and Shut Sdeh Yitzchak (Jerusalem, 1943-1951). His books were approbated by the Chief Rabbi Rabbi Yitzchak Isaac Herzog, Rosh Av Beis Din of Jerusalem Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank, Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer and Rabbi Zelig Reuven Bengis. 

Semi-leather binding, blesmished and partly dismantled. Moth holes, stains, blemished spine, the title page and [2] first leaves are detached. Fair condition.
