שירי תפילה ופיוטים לימות השבוע ולמועדים שונים. עם כוונות על פי הסוד לכל זמן ועם דברי פתיחה וסיום מאת "חתן למלך", רבי ישעיהו ב"ר ישראל חזקיה באסאן. בחלק מקהילות איטליה נהגו לומר פיוטים אלו בקביעות.
הרב"ך - רבי בנימין הכהן וויטאלי (תי"א-ת"ץ, אוצר הרבנים 3692), זקן רבני איטליה ומגדולי חכמי דורו. גאון ומקובל. הוא וחתנו רבי ישעיה באסאן, היו רבותיו של הרמח"ל. (ראה אודותיו במבוא לשו"ת הרב"ך).
