רוב החידושים על פי הסוד, מהמקובל רבי יצחק חסון מחכמי ארם צובה.
חכם יצחק חסון נולד לאביו חכם אהרן חסון בעיר דמשק בסוריה. למד תורה מפי אביו במדרש חסון בשכונת סקאלאיין בדמשק, והיה לאחד מחכמי מדרש חסון. זכה ועלה לארץ ישראל, והתיישב בעיר ירושלים. רבות רעות סבבהו. נפטר בשנת תש"ד. חתניו הם רבי רפאל חסון, רבי עזרא אברהם עדס, רבי שלמה שמעא.
