Rare typed document from Buchenwald / Mittelbau-Dora concentration camp dated 11.8.44 and is signed by SS-Oberscharfuhrer Wilhelm Simon. Wilhelm Simon was an SS-Oberscharfuhrer employed as a labour leader in Mittelbau-Dora concentration camp where the Germans were making the V1 and V2 weapons. The document reads : K.L. Buchenwald Mittelbau, on 11.8.44 Mittelbau I Labor commitment leader At headquarters Report A bundle of 5 tool brands with the control number 71 was found in the immediate vicinity of the tracks at the station today and handed over to me. I commended the finder from the work detachment employed there for his honesty with an hour of free time. I have given the tool marks to the tool issue.
