Pair of Letters Between the Gaon Rabbi Shlomo Bamberger, son of the Würzburger Rav and the Collector, 'Yinahe"l'
Pair of important Torah-historic-bibliographic letters between the gaon and Kabbalist Rabbi Shlomo Bamberger, av beit din of Sennheim, and the renowned book collector Ya'akov Naftali Hertz Levi Van Bima of Amsterdam - known by the nickname Yinahe"l. Langnau [Switzerland and Amsterdam?]. Av-Elul 1849.
* The first letter is entirely handwritten by the gaon and Kabbalist Rabbi Shlomo Bamberger, beloved son of the Würzburger Rav. It was sent to the renowned book collector Ya'akov Naftali Hertz Levi Fun Bima of Amsterdam, who was referred to by Rabbi Bamberger with titles reserved for the most honored rabbis! As befits the nature of the addressee, the letter primarily deals with sefarim. It also mentions "The precious Rabbi Meir Lehman."
* The second letter was written a month after the date on the previous letter, on the back. It is addressed to "The honorable rabbi, the complete tzaddik who studies by night as by day, scion of nobility ... Rabbi Shlomo son of the tzadddik, the rav, the gaon Rabbi Yitzchak Dov HaLevi z"l Bamberger." This is apparently a draft of a letter replying to Ya'akov Naftali Hertz Levi Van Bima to the gaon Rabbi Shlomo Bamberger.
