Letter of recommendation for a yeshivah student ascending to the Land of Israel, handwritten by the gaon Rabbi Baruch Mordechai Rais, may his blood be avenged, rosh yeshivah of Ohr Torah in Zvhil and then in Koritz. Koritz-Vohlin, 1935.
Letter of recommendation for a prominent student, Simchah b"r Yosef Goldman of Koritz, who is planning on moving to the Land of Israel. In his letter, Rabbi Rais praises this student extensively, and notes that "he has been with our yeshivah since childhood, and has seen blessing in his studies. He is fluent in several tractates of gemara including the commentaries, and he possesses fine character traits, and now ... he desires to ascend to the Land of Israel. It is a great mitzvah to encourage and support him ... and people like these will prepare our sacred Land, in the ways of Torah and reverence ..."
