First Edition of the Gr"a's Commentary: Mikra'ot Gedolot, Dubrovno, 1804

Vinograd, Sifrei HaGr"a no. 1! Set of Mikra'ot Gedolot, Chamishah Chumshei Torah with commentaries. First edition of Aderet Eliyahu, the gaon Rabbi Eliyahu of Vilna's [the Gr"a's] renowned commentary. Dubrovno, 1804. Including the rare volume of Chamesh Meggilot, printed as a continuation of his commentary on the Torah. (Lacking Chumash Vayikra and several leaves, see details below).

First edition of the Gr"a's commentary on the Torah! The gaon Rabbi Eliyahu of Vilna's commentary, printed here for the first time, with an especially lengthy foreword by the Gr"a's sons Rabbi Yehuda Leib and Rabbi Avraham, who write about their father's incredible Torah prowess, and well as what is special about his commentary on the Torah and how it was printed from the manuscript itself.

The publisher of this edition was Rabbi Ohr Shraga Feivush, av beit din of Dubrovno, who was the Gr"a's son-in-law in the former's first marriage. He added two of his own commentaries to this edition: "Menorat Shlomo" and "Minchat Kalil." Very few sefarim were printed in Dubrovno, all of which are uncommon, especially this sought-after set.
