Collection of Chassidic Sefarim, Some Rare [5]

* Vikucha Rabbah - debate that took place between disciples of the Vilna Gaon and disciples of the Besh"t about nusach HaAr"i and Chassidic customs. [Warsaw], 1866. Two parts.

Early edition of this renowned polemic work. The title page indicates it was written in Pressburg, and the first title page erroneously states 'Mahadura Tanina' instead of 'Mahadura Kamma.'

Many ma'amarim were written about this sefer. Y. Mondshine wrote an article with a summary about the identity of the author and the various versions of his work, "HaSefarim Metzaref Avodah V'Vikucha Rabbah, " Alei Sefer V, 1978, pp 165-175. Regarding the letter from Rabbi Shneur Zalman to Vilna's Chassidim, refer to David Tzvi Hillman, Iggerot Ba'al HaTanya U'Vnei Doro, Jerusalem, 1953, pp. 95-99.

9, [3]; [20] leaf. 17 cm. Fine condition. Stains.

* Imrei Kadosh by the awesome G-dly saraf, the Admo"r Rabbi Uri of Strelisk, copied from the manuscript found in the possession of Rabbi Ze'ev Wolf of Lvov, his disciple, who wrote everything he heard directly from the Saraf. Lemberg, by Menachem Mendel Zegil. [1871?].

Refer to the Hebrew catalog text for a brief biography of "The Saraf, " Rabbi Uri of Strelisk.
According to what is written on the cover of this work, it was printed from the manuscript written by Rabbi Ze'ev Wolf 'Rabbi Wavichi' of Lvov, who wrote down everything he himself heard from his sacred master. Rabbi Binyamin Zass Wolf Schnablum was born to his philanthropist father through the blessing of the Seraf of Strelisk as "payment" for supporting his family. He was a student of the Seer of Lublin and of the Saraf, and was the only wealthy individual among the Saraf's followers. After the Saraf's passing, he headed a group of Chassidim and built a synagogue in Lvov where he conducted himself somewhat like an Admo"r.
Rare early edition. The first edition was printed in 1870 and this edition was apparently printed shortly thereafter. Listed in the Mif'al HaBibliographiah according to a copy in the Schocken Library.
[12] leaf, 15 cm.
Very fine condition. New binding.

* Seder Hoshanot im Peirush B'Derech HaParde"s by the Admo"r Rabbi Moshe Elyakum Briyah of Kozhnitz, son of the Maggid of Kozhnitz. With seder hakafot for Simchat Torah per the custom of the maggid and his son. Lemberg, 1866. Incomplete copy.
[15] leaf, lacking the last [4] leaves. 18.5 cm.
Moderate-fine condition. Perforation in the final leaves with damage to several letters. Stains and usage marks. Individual worming perforations. New binding.

* Brit Avraham by Rabbi Avraham Horowitz, father of the Shla"h. Polonne, 1802. Partial copy.
Hanahagot HaAdam by Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk was originally printed at the end of the sefer, with a different text. It is not present here.
Extraordinarily rare edition.
Stefansky, Chassidut no. 94.
Partial copy. Originally: 38 leaf. Present here: [1]-19, [26]-33 leaf. 16 cm.

* Seder Tzettel Kattan, by the sacred Admo"r ... R' Elimelech ztz"l, author of Sefer Noam Elimelech. [Russia/Poland, late 19th century]. Rare remnant of an unknown miniature edition. Only the title page and remnants of leaves.
To the best of our knowledge this edition is bibliographically unknown.
[1] leaf title page + [7] scraps of the leaves after the title page. 13 cm.
Poor-moderate condition. The scraps are pasted to blank leaves and bound as standard leaves. Usage marks. New binding.
