* Sa'arat Eliyahu, Biurim V'Chiddushim B'Kitvei Kodesh V'Aggadot Chaza"l by Rabbi Avraham son of the Gr"a, with novellae by the Gr"a. Warsaw, 1877-1878. First edition. Special copy.

Published from a manuscript by Rabbi Avraham ben HaGr"a. Including 'Michtav Yakar' by Rabbi Yehudah Epstein, a disciple of Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin, with unknown material from the Gr"a heard from Rabbi Epstein's teacher, Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin.

From leaf 25 onward: as-yet-unprinted likkutim from Rabbeinu Eliyahu ztzuk"l.

Special copy: The title page bears the year of print 1877 [תרל"ח], and this special copy has a jacket cover with the year of print appearing as 1878. Refer to Vinograd,  Sifrei HaGr"a 1360 where he listed this variant according to this very copy.

* Aliyot Eliyahu, Toldot HaGr"a MiVilna. Vilna, 1856. First edition of this important sefer on the Gr"a's life, reprinted many times.

Page 93 states: "Senior rabbis of Vilna have declared that no one should believe anything said in the Gaon's name ... rulings, conduct or Torah commentary, until it has been clarified that it is from the Gaon's writings ... 19 Kislev 1797.

Page 118 bears a kol koreh from Vilna's dayanim from the eve of Sukkot 1856 stating, "It is an obligation and a mitzvah for anyone who possesses writings by the Gr"a to inform Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel Levine."

Printed according to the first edition, with additional supplements. With a foreword by the Gr"a's sons and an introduction by Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin.

Additional (detached) title page included, with signatures by the gaon Rabbi Abba Ya'akov HaKohen Boruchov, author of Chevel Ya'akov, and a stamp from the Ohel Torah study hall in Rechaviah, where many of the giants of the previous generation studied. Two short glosses in the margins of leaf 7.

* HaKtav V'HaKabbalah by the gaon Rabbi Ya'akov Tzvi Mecklenburg. Leipzig, 1839. First edition.

The gaon  Rabbi Ya'akov Tzvi Mecklenburg, av beit din of Königsberg, was a primary disciple of the gaon Rabbi Akiva Eiger. His study method was very connected to that of the Vilna Gaon. In this sefer, HaKtav V'HaKabbalah he followed the Gr"a's footsteps combining the written Torah and the Oral Torah, and made extensive use of the Gr"a's sefarim which he had in manuscript. He assisted in the printing of the Gr"a's writings especially those on Kabbalah, and even collaborated on the biographical work on the Gr"a, Aliyot Eliyahu. The method of his unique commentary HaKtav V'HaKabbalah charted the course by which his friend, the gaon, the Malbi"m (who succeeded him as rabbi of Königsberg) for his renowned commentary on the Torah and the Tana"ch.

With a jacket cover in Hebrew and a foreign language, at the beginning and end of the sefer.
