Composition on tractates from Seder Moed and Seder Nezikin: Pesachim, Ta'anit, Meggilah, Chagigah, Mo'ed Kattan, Bava Kamma, Bava Metzia, Bava Batra, Makkot and Horiyot.


The author was extensively involved in the Torah of the Amora'im - the sages of the Land of Israel, from which he printed his insights on the Yerushalmi. To make things simpler for scholars, the commentary was printed together with the Yerushalmi text. However, because the author came from the halachic perspective and not the aggadic perspective, only the parts of the Talmud Yerushalmi relevant to each topic were printed.


It is interesting to note that Shlomo Friedlander, who assembled the renowned fraudulent Yerushalmi Kodshim, initially tied his fraud to correspondence between the Sde Yehoshua and his brother (obviously also forged), about the Yerushalmi Kodshim that he discovered. However, it was very quickly revealed that the dates mentioned in the letters do not correspond to reality. As for Friedlander, he attributed this to printing errors ...

Owner's stamp on the title page from the youth Eliyahu Einav ... chief rabbi of Constantinople,  dayan and rosh yeshivah. He was a disciple of Rabbi Eliyahu Palumbo, who authored Dvar Eliyahu, which was printed together with Mishnat Rabi Eliezer by his disciple, Rabbi Eliezer di Toledo.

Fine condition with the exception of worming perforations in the margins of the first and last leaves. Aging stains. Magnificent new leather binding.
