Original version of a poem included in the La Barcarola, published in 1967 and later revised for the Obras Completas Losada 1973 (In the Complete Works by Loyola the poem appears in volume III, pages 231 – 233.) Isla Alquieuapi, February 1966. 5 sheets of paper covered in Neruda’s handwriting in green ink. The cover is drawn on and dedicated by the poet. The colophon is dated and signed by Neruda. In this poem Neruda writes about Lake Rupenco. Neruda wrote it for his friend Bárbara Vergara Puyó. Stated in the text: “unique copy for Bárbara Vergara Puyó. Fine parchment binding signed by A. Contreras, a Chilean bookbinder.
