GERMAN POLITICAL LEADER'S VISOR CAP
German Orts-level political leader's visor cap, brown cloth body with blue fabric piping and darker brown velvet sideband. The insignia of the cap consists of a gilt NSDAP cap eagle, with a gilt wreath and a separate cockade. The eagle is constructed of gilt bronze, while the wreath is constructed of gilt aluminum, with a separately attached metal partially enameled cockade within the wreath. Gilding on the insignia is significantly worn. Braided chin cords are presnt and firlmy secured with gilded button. The visor is constructed of vulkanfibre and is completely intact. Within, the cap bears a stained brown rayon liner with celluloid diamond and period paper slip indicating size '55', ersatz leather sweatband, torn in several places, and a legitimate RZM label sewn to the liner, appearing at the rear of the cap. The body of the cap is soiled and would benefit fro msome cleaning, no moth holes or other fabric damage is visible.
