(1790 - 1862) Tenth President of the United States following the death of Harrison, annexed Texas, and remained loyal to Virginia following its secession. Manuscript L.S., 1p. 8vo., Washington, Jan. 21, 1841, in full: 'Your polite request desiring my autograph for a friend, I cannot otherwise than comply with…' Expertly inlaid and in fine condition.
