HERBERT HOOVER
(1874-1964) 31st President of the United States whose attempts to reverse the course of the Great Depression led to his defeat at the polls by Franklin D. Roosevelt. T.L.S. on his personal letterhead, 1p. 4to., New York City, Dec. 2, 1937, to the president of the Economic Club of Chicago, accepting his invitation to an event on November 24th. Hoover signs at the conclusion in blue ink. Tiny holes at top-left, small spot of staining at lower-right, else fine condition.
